On the last day in the mountains, and the penultimate day of the Tour, Vincenzo Nibali (SNO) was third on the stage with Julian Alaphilippe (RSR) fourth.
Adam Yates (SNO) was unable to get back onto the podium and remains fourth overall with Richie Porte (RSR) still fifth. For Steve, Joaquim RodrÃguez improved to seventh on GC and Dan Martin held onto ninth place overall for Lisa.
No change at the top of the points classification where Peter Sagan (SNO) has all but won the Green Jersey with Marcel Kittel (RSR) second.
Rui Costa (RSR) moved up a place to fifth in the mountains competition as Nibali jumped up twenty places to eighth.
