Peter Sagan (SNO) retained his world crown in a sprint finish that narrowly edged out former champions Mark Cavendish, also for Steve, and Tom Boonen (RSR).

This was the final counting race of the season and, in spite of a late run that almost closed the gap, Steve had to cede overall honours to Lisa's Ready Steady Riders. Lisa now trails 9 - 10 in our all-time head-to-head stretching back to 1988.
